Description
netTAP 100 connects to communication networks and acts as a gateway for conversions between a Real-Time Ethernet protocol (2-port) and a fieldbus or serial automation protocol, between two fieldbus protocols, and between a fieldbus protocol and a serial automation protocol. Licensed Master functionality is unrestricted. A memory card slot allows saving firmware and configuration on a removable card; in case of failure the device can be restored within seconds by transferring the card to a spare unit. netTAP 100 supports programming of custom serial protocols using the Lua-based netSCRIPT. A full development environment (included) enables rapid implementation of proprietary serial protocols and I/O data preprocessing during conversion.
