Overview
One device - many applications. The SPE Media Switch converts different speed grades within Industrial Ethernet networks and converts between 100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet (100 Mbit/s) and the long-range Single Pair Ethernet standard 10BASE-T1L (10 Mbit/s) according to IEEE 802.3cg.

Applications
The SPE Media Switch enables integration of new SPE devices (sensors, actuators) into brownfield installations using Real-Time-Ethernet protocols such as PROFINET or EtherNet/IP. It allows connecting legacy Fast Ethernet devices to an SPE network and supports adding additional sensors for IoT functionality and predictive maintenance use cases without using the control (OT) network.
