netTAP 100 connects to communication networks and acts as a gateway for protocol conversions between a Real-Time Ethernet protocol (2-port) and a fieldbus or serial automation protocol, between two fieldbus protocols, or between a fieldbus protocol and a serial protocol. Licensed Master functionality is unrestricted. A memory card slot allows firmware and configuration storage on a removable card for rapid device replacement. netTAP 100 supports custom serial protocol programming via the Lua-based netSCRIPT. The delivery includes a full development environment for programming proprietary serial protocols, I/O preprocessing and processing during conversion to the secondary I/O field protocol.
