Description
netTAP 50 connects two communication networks and performs protocol conversion between one real-time Ethernet (1-port) and one fieldbus or serial automation protocol, and between a fieldbus and a serial automation protocol. It supports slave-to-slave and slave-to-master conversions. In master mode netTAP 50 exposes a single slave device with full master functionality, simplifying integration of one field device into higher-level networks. The compact design focuses on the essential functions of a protocol converter and targets cost-sensitive applications, offering a versatile, economical gateway.
