Overview
netHOST RTE is a LAN-controlled EtherNet/IP Scanner in a DIN-rail housing designed for integration into industrial control networks. It operates as a Real-Time Ethernet master, enabling industrial PCs and embedded controllers to manage EtherNet/IP devices over a standard Ethernet connection. A TCP/IP-based transport protocol transfers services between the controller and the device. Integration options include a Windows DLL and C source code for embedded targets; both expose an API identical to cifX PC cards, enabling remote control and field replacement.
