netTAP 50 connects communication networks and acts as a gateway for conversions between one Real-Time Ethernet protocol (1-port) and one fieldbus or serial automation protocol, as well as between a fieldbus protocol and a serial automation protocol. netTAP 50 supports Slave-to-Slave and Slave-to-Master conversions. As a master, netTAP 50 provides a single slave device with the full master function to integrate a single field device into a higher-level network.
