Product overview
As a single POWERLINK node, the gateway integrates a subordinate SmartWire-DT network with up to 99 stations into Ethernet POWERLINK. The device maps the process data of all SmartWire-DT stations modularly to I/O objects. Up to 1000 bytes of input and 1000 bytes of output process data can be mapped via TxPDOs and RxPDOs and are transferred transparently between both network protocols.

Commissioning and configuration
Commissioning is performed via the USB interface using the planning and diagnostics software SWD-Assist. A scan function automatically determines the connected SmartWire-DT network constellation. The network configuration together with modifiable device parameters is transferred to the gateway. SWD-Assist transforms the loaded network configuration into a standardized POWERLINK XDD device description file for the POWERLINK Managing Node. SWD-Assist is not included in the scope of delivery.
