Overview
The EU5C-SWD-SERCOS gateway links a SmartWire-DT trunk to a Sercos network. Acting as a Sercos slave, it maps each SmartWire-DT station and its process data modularly into separate IO function groups. Up to 99 SmartWire-DT stations and up to 252 bytes of I/O process data can be transmitted transparently between both networks. Commissioning of the connected SmartWire-DT trunk is performed via the front configuration button, which reads the SWD topology and stores a nominal configuration in the gateway. The Sercos master is configured using SDDML device description files to adjust actual and nominal settings in the master engineering software. SWD-Assist is available optionally; SWD-Assist and SDDML files are not included with the gateway.
