netTAP 100 connects to communication networks and acts as a gateway for conversions between a Real-Time Ethernet protocol (2-port) and a fieldbus or serial automation protocol, between two fieldbus protocols, and between a fieldbus protocol and a serial automation protocol. Licensed Master functionality is unrestricted. A memory card slot lets users store firmware and configuration on a removable SD/MMC card to enable device exchange within seconds by moving the card to a spare unit. netTAP 100 also supports programming of custom serial protocols using the Lua-based netSCRIPT; the included development environment enables rapid implementation of proprietary protocols and I/O data preprocessing and postprocessing during protocol conversion.
