Product OverviewnetTAP 100 connects to communication networks and acts as a gateway for conversions between one Real-Time Ethernet protocol (2-port) and one fieldbus or serial automation protocol, between two fieldbus protocols, and between a fieldbus protocol and a serial automation protocol. Licensed Master functionality is unrestricted. A memory card slot allows storing firmware and configuration on an SD/MMC card, enabling device replacement in seconds by transferring the card to a spare unit. In addition to standard protocols, netTAP 100 supports custom serial protocols via the Lua-based scripting language netSCRIPT. The delivery includes a full-featured development environment for rapid programming of proprietary serial protocols and for I/O data preprocessing during conversion to the secondary I/O field protocol.
