WVTR-C6 is a gravimetric water vapor transmission rate tester designed to measure WVTR of plastic films, composite films, sheets and other packaging, medical and construction materials. It combines high-resolution weighing, controlled temperature and humidity and multi-cup independent testing for reliable laboratory and production quality control.

Test principle
The instrument uses the permeation cup gravimetric principle: at a set temperature a defined humidity difference is applied across the sample. Water vapor passes through the sample to the dry side (permeation cup). By recording the mass change of the cup over time, the WVTR and related parameters are calculated.
