LT-02M vacuum decay leak tester uses a high-precision pressure sensor to monitor the pressure environment and its variation. Leakage of a sample is determined by the pressure drop during the equilibrium period; used with appropriate fixtures, the instrument evaluates package integrity for a wide range of medical and consumer packages.

Test Principle
The instrument detects package leaks by measuring the rise in pressure (vacuum loss) inside an enclosed evacuated test chamber that contains the test package; leakage is judged from the measured pressure change over the test interval.
