Product overviewFB-30J Falling dart impact tester is engineered to measure impact resistance of packaging materials (plastic films, laminates, paper) using a free-falling dart released from a set height. It supports ASTM D1709 and ISO 7765-1 test methods A and B and provides automated operation and electromagnetic dart release.
Product features- Fully automated testing process with automatic calculation of results.
- Two test modes: Method A (standard) and Method B (optional).
- Electromagnetic suspension and release mechanism for the falling dart.
- Electric sample clamping and user-adjustable initial mass and mass increment (Δm).
Test standards- ASTM D1709
- ISO 7765-1
- JIS K7124-1
Test principleSelect the test method and set an estimated initial mass and Δm, then run sequential tests. If a sample is damaged, reduce the falling mass by Δm for the next test; if not damaged, increase the mass by Δm. After testing multiple samples and counting damaged ones, the system computes the impact result automatically according to the sampling rules of the selected method.
