Overview
The COMX 100CN-DP communication module is designed for integration into automation equipment to provide drives, robot controllers and PLCs with a PROFIBUS network interface. Communication tasks are executed autonomously on the module, independent of the host processor.

Product details
Process data is exchanged via a Dual‑Port‑Memory accessed by an 8/16‑bit parallel bus interface or a 50 MHz SPI interface. COMX modules support leading real-time/fieldbus protocols as Master or Slave. Some variants include two Ethernet ports to support line topologies. Protocol changes are performed by loading the appropriate firmware and, for masters, applying a software license. A 10‑year delivery guarantee is provided thanks to the Hilscher netX network controller.
