Product overviewThe comX communication module is designed for integration into automation devices to provide drives, robot controllers, PLCs and similar hosts with a Real‑Time Ethernet interface. Communication tasks are processed autonomously on the module (netX 100), independent of the host CPU. Process data is exchanged via a Dual‑Port‑Memory accessible through an 8/16‑bit parallel bus or a fast 50 MHz SPI. Two Ethernet ports support line topology. Protocol functionality can be changed by loading firmware and, for master operation, applying the appropriate license. A 10‑year delivery guarantee is provided via the Hilscher netX network controller.
