Product overview
The COMX 90 communication module is designed for integration into field devices to provide network connectivity for drives, robots and other automation components. All communication tasks run autonomously within the module, independent of the host processor. Process data is exchanged via an SPI slave interface (mode 3). The embedded solution combines hardware and firmware engineered for IEC 62443 requirements to improve cybersecurity at field level. The module supports leading Real-Time Ethernet protocols in slave mode and includes two Ethernet ports for line topologies. Protocol changes are performed by loading the appropriate firmware. The integrated Hilscher netX SoC comes with a 10-year delivery guarantee.
