OverviewThe netRAPID 52 Evaluation Board NRPEB 52-RE provides a fast, secure alternative to a customer-developed Real-Time Ethernet slave interface. The kit centers on a compact 32 x 32 mm netX chip carrier (stamp format) that can be soldered to the host system by hand or with SMD production. Ethernet transformers, SQI Flash and a netX multi-protocol chip are included on the carrier and the Real-Time Ethernet protocol stack executes in the internal RAM of the netX. Host hardware only requires network connectors, LEDs and address switches; a simple 2-layer PCB is sufficient. Application development is based on the netRAPID API. Full product functionality requires a one-time licensed firmware purchase and loading during manufacturing.
