Product overview
The NJ 100EN-RE is an exchangeable PCI Express module (netJACK) by Hilscher that provides a universal Real-Time Ethernet interface for embedded systems. Fitted with the netX 100 communication controller, it supports deployment with high-performance CPUs (e.g. Intel Atom®) and is available in variants with dual-port memory or a fast serial SPI interface. The module features a compact closed IP40 housing and tool-free plug-in mounting, enabling integration on carrier boards without additional mounting accessories. netJACK enables communication solutions for drives, HMI and identification systems and can host additional functions such as soft-PLC, visualization or customer-specific applications. A 10-year availability framework is provided via the netX platform.

Mounting & configuration
Mounting is performed via milled footprint holes in the carrier board and retaining brackets on the module; no additional mounting accessories are required. The module supports quick plug-in installation by the manufacturer or end customer. Configuration and protocol selection are performed with SYCON.net; diagnostic access is available via USB or host-signalled interfaces where implemented.
