Overview
The comX COMX 52CA-DNS communication module provides a compact network interface for automation equipment (drives, robot controllers, PLCs). Communication is handled autonomously by the module independent of the host CPU. Process data is exchanged via a Dual‑Port Memory accessed over an 8/16‑bit parallel bus or a fast 50 MHz SPI interface. The module supports DeviceNet as Slave and can be reconfigured for other protocols by loading firmware and, if required for masters, a software license. Two Ethernet ports support line topologies where applicable. The embedded Hilscher netX controller ensures long‑term availability.
