Overview
The NJ 100DN-RE is an exchangeable module with parallel dual-port memory for Real-Time Ethernet. It provides a universal Real-Time Ethernet interface (Master or Slave) in a closed IP40 housing and is designed for tool-free mounting in the delivery chain or by the end customer.

Product description
The netJACK exchangeable module family targets embedded industrial applications. The NJ 100DN-RE integrates a netX (netX 100) communication controller and provides a parallel dual-port memory interface for fast host access. The compact IP40 closed module mounts on carrier boards using footprint cut-outs and retaining brackets; connectors are realized as contact areas or cut-outs on the host, eliminating extra mounting parts. Typical applications include drives, HMI, identification systems and other automation devices. The module can host additional functions (soft‑PLC or customer applications). A 10-year delivery guarantee is provided by the Hilscher netX network controller.
