Description
I. Overview
The iqiege® 2110D is a large upright metallographic cutting machine designed according to safety and environmental protection principles. It is intended for cutting specimens of metals, rocks, ceramics and other non-metallic materials to prepare samples for metallographic and petrographic microstructural analysis. The machine integrates cutting, cooling, illumination and cleaning systems and is suitable for laboratory specimen preparation.
II. Structure
The unit comprises a cutting system, cooling system, illumination system and cleaning/chip-removal system. The upper section is enclosed by a hinged protective guard with a large observation window and high-brightness lighting to monitor the cutting process. A manually operated swing-arm cutting lever (right side) facilitates handling of large workpieces. The grooved cast-iron workbench combined with a vise secures irregular parts. The coolant reservoir is located in the base and includes a filter screen for chip collection. Safety devices include a gantry-style safety switch and an explosion-proof guard.
