OverviewThe abrasive-belt sample preparator is designed and manufactured to international sample-preparation standards for metallographic and spectroscopic workflows. It uses an abrasive belt for controlled grinding and allows quick replacement of belts with different grit sizes, replacing grinding wheels and manual sandpaper polishing. Typical processing time is 1–2 minutes per belt pass. When used to prepare spectral reference standards in spectroscopy laboratories, it reduces handling time and consumable use, improves process safety and repeatability, lowers costs, and increases throughput.
Key advantages and use cases- Quick belt replacement and fast processing (1–2 minutes per belt pass)
- Reduction in consumables (sandpaper) and labor
- Improved safety and process consistency compared with manual polishing
- Suitable for preparation of spectral reference standards in spectroscopy labs
- Applicable to industrial companies, metallurgical and mechanical firms, testing centers, metallography labs, and research institutes
