Product overviewThis metallographic cutting machine is designed to cut cylindrical, polygonal and other irregular metallographic specimens to facilitate microscopic examination of metallographic and petrographic microstructures. The fully enclosed double-shield construction protects the operator during cutting. A forced cooling system used with an appropriate coolant removes heat generated during cutting, preventing specimen overheating and thermal damage to microstructures. The specimen holder can be rotated to any required angle during cutting to minimize surface burns on separated sections and to increase the effective cutting cross-section, improving abrasive wheel utilization. The machine is intended for specimen preparation in industrial workshops and research laboratories and is straightforward to operate.
