Product detailsIn Type 4012A sensors the pressure is transmitted via a thin steel diaphragm and oil to a silicon load cell. The load cell contains implanted piezoresistive resistors configured as a Wheatstone bridge; the bridge is unbalanced by pressure, producing an output proportional to the pressure. Components are made from hydrogen‑compatible stainless steel and the diaphragm is gold‑plated to reduce hydrogen diffusion and stabilize measurements. Cabling is fully shielded and includes kink protection to improve signal quality and durability. Connections, extension cables and amplifiers are standardized across the digitally compensated DS sensor family equipped with PiezoSmart, enabling seamless integration with piezoresistive amplifiers Type 4624A (single channel), Type 4665B (SCP / KiBox1) and Type 4667A (KiBox2).
