Overview These SlimLine piezoelectric shear force sensors incorporate two quartz elements sensitive to shear in one direction. The measured force is transmitted by stiction to the quartz elements which generate an electrical charge proportional to the applied shear force. The welded ring transducer case features a sealed integrated cable connection to meet IP65 protection. SlimLine transducers combine very small overall dimensions, maximum resolution and high stiffness for compact installation in mechanical structures. Sensors are supplied tested but uncalibrated and must be calibrated in situ after installation.
Main features / advantages- Extremely flat SlimLine design with measuring ranges up to ±8 kN (shear force)
- Sealed housing, protection class IP65
- Integrated, non-detachable cable with fluoroelastomer sheath
- High resolution and rigidity for installation in force plates, tools and machine frames
Variants- 9143B21 — Fy ±0.9 kN, cable length 2 m
- 9144B21 — Fy ±1.7 kN, cable length 2 m
- 9145B21 — Fy ±2.7 kN, cable length 2 m
- 9146B21 — Fy ±4 kN, cable length 2 m
- 9147B21 — Fy ±8 kN, cable length 2 m
- 9143B29, 9144B29, 9145B29, 9146B29, 9147B29 — versions with configurable cable length
Applications / Use cases Ideal for mounting in force plates, tools and machine frames or integration into confined structures where space is limited. Used in industrial production processes for measurement and partial monitoring of shear forces. When combined with a ControlMonitor the sensor supports inline quality control and production monitoring on large-scale manufacturing lines. For very large forces or when direct placement in the force flux is not possible, the sensor can be shunt-mounted to measure part of the process force and increase overload protection.
