Detailed descriptionThe unit contains four three-component sensors, each with three pairs of quartz plates (one pair for normal pressure in z, two pairs for shear in x and y). Sensors are preloaded between the baseplate and top plate so force components are measured practically without displacement. The outputs of the four sensors are combined internally to provide multicomponent force and moment measurement. Eight output signals are available at a 9-conductor flange socket. A special thermal isolation coating integrated in the top plate reduces sensitivity to temperature variations. With connecting cables Type 1687B5 or 1689B5 and Type 1677A5 or 1679A5 the assembly corresponds to protection class IP67.
