OverviewThe modular high-performance differential piezoresistive pressure transmitter 4264A provides high accuracy and long-term stability in harsh environments with extreme temperatures, high vibration and shock. It measures static and dynamic differential pressures (dynamic response up to 2 kHz). Built-in electronics ensure temperature compensation, EMC protection, reverse polarity protection, power regulation, over-voltage and short-circuit protection, and configurable electrical outputs. Each unit is fully tested over pressure and temperature; test data are traceable to ISO 17025 and NIST.

Construction and measurement principleThe sensing core is a micro‑machined silicon strain gauge (Wheatstone bridge) mounted inside a high-integrity seal. The sensing element is isolated from the pressure media by a welded 316L stainless steel diaphragm. Pressure is transmitted through incompressible silicone oil to the silicon sensing element. Silicon sensing delivers higher sensitivity, better repeatability, improved signal-to-noise ratio, greater overload capability and superior long-term stability versus metal strain-gauge sensors. The pressure-sensing assembly uses a patented sealing method (US Patent 7,373,827) allowing repeated cycles without fatigue and flexibility in pressure connection choices without adaptors or O‑rings.
ApplicationsDesigned for industrial applications requiring precise static and dynamic differential pressure measurement in harsh conditions—typical uses include process control, hydraulic and pneumatic test benches, flow and leak testing, and aerospace and automotive test systems where dynamic response and long-term stability are critical.
