DescriptionThis easy-to-install piezoelectric reaction torque sensor is designed for measuring rapidly changing torques on non-rotating shafts. Measuring range: ±1 N·m. The sensor element is preloaded between a preload screw and nut; when torque is applied, shear stresses are transmitted to the piezo crystals and produce a charge signal. The charge is picked up by an electrode and conducted via a screened cable to a charge amplifier, which converts it into a proportional output voltage for recording and evaluation. Flanges on the top and bottom enable direct, low-profile installation on a shaft or adapter flange. Alternatively, a mounting flange (optional) or custom adapters can be used. Two-sided centering ensures accurate coaxial fit; a centric bore enables additional uses such as shaft bushings. A screw-on connector cover ferrule is supplied to protect the side cable connection. This Kistler reaction torque sensor reliably detects very small torques around the sensor axis in both rotation directions.
