Product overviewFamily Type 8778A are high‑frequency, ultra‑miniature, lightweight accelerometers that incorporate a ceramic shear sensing element. The shear‑mode element provides immunity to thermal transients, base strain and transverse motion. An internal microelectronic Piezotron signal‑conditioning circuit converts the charge developed in the ceramic element under vibration into a usable high‑level voltage output at low impedance. Units are designed for wax or adhesive mounting and are supplied with a custom wrench for removal after testing.
