Product summaryType 4578A strain gauge load cells measure low tensile and compression forces and are suitable for laboratory and industrial environments. Strain gauges on flexural diaphragms provide a bridge output voltage proportional to the applied force.
Main features / advantages- Compact strain gauge load cells
- Seven measuring ranges from 0 … 0.1 kN to 0 … 10 kN
- Easy mounting for force sensors
- Measuring accuracy better than 0.2% FSO
- Stainless steel construction
Description / mountingStrain gauges are applied to the flexural diaphragms and deliver a bridge output proportional to the measurand when the load is applied concentrically. Measured force must be applied to the thread along the central axis of the Type 4578A. Use a force-distributing cap or an adapter for the specific application and avoid shear or torsion. Lateral forces within ±2.5° of the perpendicular may be neglected; higher lateral forces must be prevented by design (articulated mounting recommended).
