Overview
Compact piezoelectric cavity pressure sensor (Type 6159A) designed for direct measurement in injection-mould cavities. The small front diameter and O-ring sealing make it suitable for multi-cavity tools and confined cavity geometries.

Product description
The Type 6159A cavity pressure sensor measures mould cavity pressure directly via a quartz piezoelectric element. Pressure acting on the entire front face is transmitted to the quartz element, producing a charge proportional to pressure (pC). An amplifier converts this charge into a voltage signal (0 … 10 V) available at the amplifier output. An O-ring seals the annular gap (<10 µm) between sensor and mounting bore and ensures centred alignment. The exchangeable cable is screwed to the sensor with a tight seal. For multi‑cavity applications the sensor is used without the single‑wire connector Type 1839. Multiple cable types and lengths are available to suit installation and measurement setups.
