Description

Short description
Type 8203A is a high-impedance, charge-mode piezoelectric accelerometer designed for vibration measurement in environments that may experience elevated temperatures. A ceramic shear sensing element provides significant charge output suitable for conversion to an analog voltage via a charge amplifier. Kistler shear technology delivers high immunity to base strain, thermal transients and transverse accelerations. The connector uses a ceramic insulator to maintain stability at extended operating temperatures. Additional characteristics include high frequency response, lightweight construction and hermetic sealing.

Main features / advantages
  • High-impedance, charge mode
  • High temperature capability (up to 250°C)
  • Ceramic shear sensing element
  • Low transverse sensitivity
  • Long-term stability at elevated temperatures

Variants
  • 8203A50 — Piezoelectric accelerometer, charge mode, ceramic shear, high temperature, 1/4-28 mount, 2000 g
