SummaryThe KiTorq Type 4552A torque flange sensors integrate speed measurement and a high-resolution angle measuring system. Analog and digital interfaces enable flexible signal output and straightforward integration into test benches and measurement setups.
System descriptionThe KiTorq system comprises the Type 4552A Rotor (torque measuring unit) and the Type 454XB Stator (torque evaluation unit). Rotors and stators are modular and interoperable without additional calibration. The stator auto-detects rotor changes and configures required parameters. The evaluation unit supplies power to the rotor and outputs measurement, speed and angle signals according to the selected interface.
Main features- Torque flange sensors for high-speed applications (variant-dependent, up to 30000 rpm)
- Maximum permitted airgap between rotor and stator: up to 5 mm for simplified installation
- Low linearity error including hysteresis: approx. 0.03% (variant-dependent)
- Rotational speed or angle measurement with configurable resolution up to 8192 pulses per revolution (PPR)
- Suitable for static and dynamic measurements; cut-off frequency (-3 dB) approx. 10 kHz
- Analog and digital interfaces with fieldbus configuration files available for selected variants
SoftwareSensorTool is a free parameter software enabling PC connection to supported torque sensors and evaluation units (SensorTool supports Type 4552A among other models). It facilitates parameterisation, monitoring and firmware updates where applicable.
Usage and orderingThe Type 4552A rotor can be ordered individually or as part of a calibrated torque measurement chain together with a KiTorq Stator. When ordered as a calibrated chain, the rotor and stator are delivered matched. Individual rotors are interoperable with compatible stators without additional calibration; the stator auto-configures on rotor exchange.
