OverviewThe compact NEX4 manipulator offers a 4 kg payload and 550 mm reach, designed for adaptive handling and assembly tasks in confined workspaces. It is suitable where robots must detect, evaluate and autonomously respond to varying workpieces using sensors such as cameras or force sensors.
Platform & controlMOTOMAN NEXT integrates classic robot control with an NVIDIA-based control module (ACU), unifying signal-based OT functions and data-driven IT capabilities on one platform. The system supports modern engineering tools (Yaskawa, NVIDIA, ROS 2 community), an open LINUX Docker environment and Yaskawa services to facilitate deployment of AI-driven robotics applications.
Drive & mechanicsThe NEX4 is equipped with newly designed high-inertia Sigma-X servo drives, delivering high dynamic response combined with excellent absolute accuracy for precise correspondence between real and virtually planned paths, including automatic path planning and sensor-guided operations.
Connectivity & protectionIntegrated media and Ethernet (Cat6) cables run through the robot arm to supply plug-and-play actuators or cameras at the flange without external cable packages. The manipulator housing is rated IP67 for use in demanding production environments.
