Overview
The compact Yaskawa NEX10 manipulator offers a 10 kg payload and a 1,101 mm reach for a wide range of adaptive handling and assembly applications. Part of the MOTOMAN NEXT platform, NEX10 is designed for automation scenarios where robots rely on sensors (cameras, force sensors, etc.) to detect, evaluate and autonomously respond to varying workpieces and situations. MOTOMAN NEXT combines classical robot control with an NVIDIA-based control unit (ACU), enabling signal-based OT functions and data-driven IT services on a single platform. Modern software tools (Yaskawa, NVIDIA, ROS 2), an open Linux Docker environment and Yaskawa services support deployment of AI-driven robotics applications.

Design & Drive Technology
The NEX10 uses Yaskawa Sigma-X high-inertia servo drives for high dynamic performance and excellent absolute accuracy, enabling precise alignment between real and virtually planned tasks, including automatic path planning and sensor-guided motion. Integrated media and Cat6 Ethernet cabling routed through the arm provide plug-and-play supply to actuators and cameras at the flange without external media packages. The robot housing is rated IP67 for protection in demanding environments.
