Kontron 3U VPX single board computer VX3058 integrates an 8-core Intel® Xeon® D processor with SWaP-C optimized design and multiple mezzanine expansion options (XMC, M.2, storage, graphics, I/O). It supports dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet, high-bandwidth PCIe Gen3 and high-speed DDR4 memory, and is designed for high-performance embedded platforms in demanding environments.

Architecture and I/O
VX3058 provides two 10 GBASE-KR ports and x8 Gen3 PCI Express lanes to the backplane. System designs may include a 10 GbE switch and a PCIe switch with single-star data planes. Kontron VxFabric™ extends TCP/IP over PCIe to increase I/O bandwidth and enable multi-CPU node architectures. Front-panel and backplane I/O include USB 2.0/3.0, configurable Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI option via front-I/O and M.2 mezzanine, serial interfaces (RJ-11), SATA 6 Gb/s links and multiple GPIO/UART lines.

Long term programs
Kontron offers Long Term Supply (LTS) programs and optional Health Management to facilitate field maintenance. Intel silicon reliability is communicated as 10 years, making VX3058 suitable for extended lifecycle and mission-critical programs.
