Product Information
The OSM-S i.MX8M Mini from Kontron Electronics is a compact System-on-Module (SoM) compliant with the OSM standard. As a directly solderable module without connectors it supports automated, cost-efficient assembly in a 30 x 30 mm OSM Size-S form factor.

Performance & Architecture
The module integrates an NXP i.MX8M Mini CPU with 4x Arm® Cortex®-A53 cores @1.6 GHz and 1x Arm® Cortex®-M4 @400 MHz. Integrated 2D and 3D GPUs provide hardware-accelerated graphics and smooth HMI rendering, while the multi-core architecture enables parallel processing for compute- and image-intensive embedded applications.

Communication Interfaces
The OSM-S offers a wide set of interfaces: digital I/Os, serial ports, PWM, two SDIO connectors, 1x Gigabit Ethernet (RGMII), 2x USB 2.0 OTG, and bus support for I²C, SPI, UART, plus audio and display interfaces for multimedia and HMI integration.
