The Kontron CP691 is a 6U CompactPCI carrier board designed to host two PMC modules and to provide system designers with a flexible I/O solution. It allows simultaneous use of two PMC modules (upper module to J5, lower module to J3) and supports optional Rear I/O on the PMC Pn4 connector. The CP691 is software transparent: no driver is required for data transfer between the PMC module and the CompactPCI bus.
