Overview
CP348 is a 3U CompactPCI quad serial controller board designed for plug & play applications. It is built around Exar's low-power Quad UART XR17V354 and provides four independent serial channels configurable per channel for RS232, RS422 (full duplex) or RS485 (half duplex). Standard and extended temperature versions are available.

Product information
CP348 implements four independently controlled serial channels and is 16550 UART compatible. Each channel can be configured individually for RS232, RS422 or RS485 operation. The board uses a 37-pin DSUB frontpanel connector and includes 2 kV isolation between I/O and the host system. A DSUB37 to 4× DSUB9 adapter cable is offered as an accessory. CP348 maintains connector and API compatibility with CP347; migration requires a driver update.
