OverviewOriginally developed for CERN's LHC detectors, the MARATON Hazardous HE is a modular low-voltage DC power system designed for operation in radiation- and magnetically-hostile environments. It separates radiation-sensitive electronics from the power stage, supports programmable multi-channel control via a VME-based RCM, and offers advanced cooling options to maintain ultra-low noise performance for sensitive electronics.
Highlights- Up to 12 potential-free low-voltage DC outputs
- Maximum output power 3.6 kW (water-cooled)
- Water and air cooling options
- 12-channel VME remote controller (RCM) with Ethernet (TCP/IP), USB and SNMP
- Magnetic field tolerance up to 1200 G (variant dependent)
Technical dataCompliance: CE EN 60950, EN 50081-1, EN 50082-1/2, UL 1950
Power & Efficiency: Up to 3.6 kW output (water cooled); module efficiency 65–90% depending on voltage
Protection: Over-/undervoltage, overtemperature protection, current limiting; programmable trip-off per global/group/channel
Control & Monitoring: VME-based 12-channel RCM; Ethernet (TCP/IP), USB, SNMP, status LEDs; programmable trip levels and status detection
