Overview
The X-Cite TETREM™ is a compact 4-channel fast-switching LED illumination system designed for fluorescence imaging. Built to provide flexible excitation across commonly used fluorophores, it suits live-cell imaging and upgrades from lamp-based sources. The system includes the X-Cite smartDIAL™ controller for intuitive manual control of channels and intensity.

Design and Operation

• Four spectral bands covering common dyes: DAPI, FITC, mCherry/TRITC and Cy5.
• Two UV LED wavelength options (365 nm or 385 nm) to match DAPI excitation filter preferences.
• Channels operate individually or simultaneously for use with single-band or multi-band filter sets.
• Independent channel control reduces bleed-through with multiband cubes and enables UV-free illumination for reflected-light workflows.
• Per-channel intensity adjustment for optimized excitation and white balance creation.

Controller
The X-Cite smartDIAL controller features large tactile buttons, illuminated channel indicators and an integrated OLED display in the central dial that shows wavelength and intensity for all four channels simultaneously.
