Description

Overview
Noblelight amalgam UVC lamps use long-life amalgam technology to provide high, stable UVC output for industrial disinfection and oxidation applications. They deliver up to ten times the UVC power density of conventional low-pressure mercury lamps and operate reliably at ambient temperatures up to 90°C, with resistance to temperature fluctuations.

Longlife Technology
The Noblelight Longlife Technology coating limits emission loss and discoloration. Compared with uncoated low-pressure lamps that may fall to 50% output after 8,000 h, amalgam lamps with the coating maintain up to 90% UVC output after 16,000 h, reducing downtime and replacement intervals.

Safety Note
These lamps contain mercury and must be handled and disposed of in accordance with applicable local, state or federal regulations.

Features
  • Operates at high ambient temperatures (up to 90°C)
  • Resistant to temperature fluctuations
  • Energy-efficient
  • Low-cost alternative to medium-pressure lamps
  • Highest power density among low-pressure lamps
  • Produces minimal heat

Applications
  • Disinfection of water (municipal drinking water, sewage treatment plants, air-conditioning)
  • Reduction of pollutants in industrial exhaust air
  • Decomposition/reduction of air pollutants
  • Grease and odor control for food service kitchens

Integration & Maintenance
Designed for compatibility with a wide range of disinfection and oxidation equipment; suitable for retrofit into existing reactors or OEM integration. Routine maintenance: regular cleaning of quartz sleeves to prevent fouling, operate within specified temperature ranges, use compatible electronic ballasts, and follow replacement schedules to sustain UVC output.
