Overview CERLED® was patented in 1979 as the world’s first Surface Mounted Device (SMD) LED. Excelitas offers an extensive range of standard CERLED products across the UV, visible and infrared spectra. The CERLED family includes LEDs on a ceramic substrate with high thermal conductivity, as well as CERLED phototransistors, photo-PIN diodes and wavelength-selective photodiodes.

Point Light LED The Excelitas CERLED Point Light LED provides a small-area light source for applications that do not require a large emitting surface. Key characteristics include homogeneous light output, a wide viewing angle and a light-emitting area of approximately 50 microns.
