OverviewExcelitas provides DC- and RF-operated photoionization detector (PID) lamps for detecting volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in industrial and environmental monitoring. Lamps are available with a range of gas fills and window materials to match sensor requirements.
DetailsPID lamps produce photons in the vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) range to photo-ionize gaseous molecules with ionization potentials below the emitted photon energy. They are used in VOC gas detection, gas chromatography (GC), and sample ionization for mass spectrometry (MS). Typical measurement ranges extend from ppm to ppb levels.
