Overview
The Fusion UV DRC Series microwave-powered UV curing systems cure inks and coatings on wire, cable and other linear products. Models C6 and C10 are optimized for high-speed inkjet marking and jacketing processes. A specialty light shield creates a focused UV exposure zone around the cable or wire to ensure consistent curing.

How it works
C6 and C10 light shields mount to six- or ten-inch microwave-powered UV irradiators (modular lamp modules) to provide a compact, high-efficiency curing solution. Each light shield contains a half-elliptical secondary reflector which, together with the irradiator reflector, forms a full ellipse with the UV bulb at one focus. The target wire or cable passes through a square shield extension and traverses the concentrated UV zone. Modular lamp design and matched power supplies support stable, high-intensity output for inline production.

Safety
Lamps contain mercury. Dispose and handle in accordance with applicable local, state and federal regulations.

Additional details
The DRC Series is modular for OEM integration or retrofit into existing curing stations. The split-body light shield opens at the wire line for quick setup, maintenance or wire threading without removing the full housing. All models are air-cooled with push-pull ventilation to control temperature and fumes.
