Description

Product overview
Excelitas Noblelight NNILight low-pressure mercury UVC lamps are designed for germicidal disinfection of water, air and surfaces. Available in 800, 1000 and 1500 W nominal outputs, these lamps deliver primary germicidal emission at 254 nm; a synthetic quartz option provides additional 185 nm emission for oxidation processes.

Design and options
NNILight lamps are offered in multiple arc lengths (10–150 cm) and formats including straight rods, U-shaped designs and several end-connector types. U-shaped variants provide a more compact footprint with increased output. Options include ozone-free and ozone-generating configurations depending on quartz type.

Performance details
High-efficiency low-pressure designs yield elevated UVC output with typical UV efficiency at 254 nm of ~40% for conventional lamps and 25–35% for high-output variants. Synthetic quartz versions emit both 254 nm and approx. 185 nm (when specified) to support oxidation and odor removal where required.

Important handling note
  • Lamps contain mercury. Manage in accordance with local, state or federal disposal laws.

Features
  • Primary germicidal emission at 254 nm
  • Synthetic quartz option for 185 nm vacuum-UV
  • Available nominal outputs: 800 W, 1000 W, 1500 W
  • Arc length range: 10–150 cm
  • Formats: straight, U-shaped, various end connectors

Applications
  • Drinking water disinfection (municipal and industrial)
  • Sewage treatment and wastewater applications
  • Air disinfection in HVAC and hospital environments
  • Grease and odor control in foodservice and commercial kitchens
  • Reduction of pollutants in industrial exhaust air

Installation & maintenance guidance
Installation must be performed by trained personnel to ensure correct electrical connections, alignment and ventilation. Maintain clean quartz sleeves to preserve UV transmission. Avoid frequent on/off cycling and verify cooling systems to extend electrode life. Carry out routine inspection of lamp surfaces, connectors and reflectors to sustain uniform output.

Safety measures
Ensure installation by qualified staff, provide appropriate shielding to prevent direct UVC exposure, follow electrical safety practices and dispose of lamps per applicable hazardous-waste regulations. Use protective equipment when servicing.
