Description

The SBS Series Universal Workshop Band Saws are compact machines with swiveling saw frames. The saw frame swivels to right and to the left. The user can guide the saw frame by hand or via the hydraulic valve controlled hydraulic feed. Their design and equipment make these machines very suitable for efficient machining of small batches. One-piece cast-iron saw frame Rigid vise with long stroke High cutting capacity Quick-action angle adjustment left and right Rigid vise with lateral slide, long stroke and long guideways in the movable jaw segments The one-piece cast-iron saw frame is torsion-proof and swivels 60° to the right, and 45° to the left Rigid saw blade guides offer a wide adjustment range for workpieces with small and large cross-sections The combination of carbide jaws and adjustable ball bearing guides ensure precision cuts A wide bi-metallic saw blade ensures additional stability during heavy machining operations Saw frame features manual feed for sensitive workpiece characteristics Hardened, polished helical gear with large bronze drive wheel for long service life Quiet operation, short machining times and easy handling ensure increased productivity Powerful motor for continuous operation High-capacity coolant system is included Includes base 2 saw blade speeds, selectable at the drive motor Mechanical quick-action clamping allows for quick release and fixation of workpieces via hand-lever; ideal for small batches The SBS 255 features a round setup table, which pivots in synchrony with the saw frame
